Great Taste Award Winner!

Wass Farm is nestled into the Howardian Hills, a designated ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. Here, they produce the very best pork for their award winning charcuterie.

“We keep our pigs in our woodlands and pastures, focusing on two breeds renowned for their superior flavour. Yorkshire heritage breed Middle White, and Mangalitsa, the famous woolly pig! They live a natural life rooting and foraging in the fresh air as pigs should. Their diet is supplemented with apple mulch, a by-product of a local cider company. This adds a distinctive sweetness to the meat, tasted throughout our charcuterie.”

It’s not just pigs they work with either, Wass Farm also create delicious and sustainable salami and chorizo with their local wild venison!

A Note From Eddy…

One of the most exciting elements of food production in the UK in recent years has been the growth in home produced charcuterie, Wass Farm are one of the producers that everyone should get excited about. Not only is the quality of the charcuterie outstanding, but the respect they have for the animals they raise is a delight.

Side note: I still have dreams about the Nduja Roast Chicken I made in 2025.
