Heatroot is the product of a longstanding love affair between one man, spicy foods and a certain purple vegetable.
Like with many of us during the pandemic, Alex, the founder of Heatroot, found himself with a great deal more time to do pretty much anything. In this time, Alex endeavoured to create a new recipe every day, leading to the idea for a spiced beetroot gazpacho. After adding a little too much chilli to the dish, he soon realised the potential of what he had created.
50+ test batches later and here we have it, a delicious beetroot hot sauce.
Whilst working on creating the second product for the Heatroot brand, Alex has also been working as a chef in London, Australia, and now at Giffords Circus.
